Here in our unique Bhutanese culture, the highlights of the year for the locals are called Tshechus, or the annual festivals where centuries of traditions are enacted through various rituals and dances. The local people come to attend the Tshechu in their best attire, which is our national dress as men dress cladly in their gohs, and women adorn themselves in beautiful woven kiras.

The duration of the festival tour can vary from seven nights to a month and you can visit anytime of the year.Festivals in Bhutan are celebrated throught the country. It comprises centuries of Bhutanese cultures and tradition passed down through generations celebrated at various times of the year.  In these festivals, masked, sword and other ritualistic dances are performed in the Dzong’s (temple/ fortress) courtyards. The Dzong comes to life with vibrant colors, joyous music and exotic dancing as Bhutanese dress in their finest and join together to exorcise evil sprits and rejoice.
